Storytime is a fun way to introduce your little ones to language and learning. The Pasadena Public Library invites caregivers and their toddlers to join Santa Catalina Branch Library for an engaging 30-minute storytime filled with books, songs, puppets, fingerplays, rhymes and fun.

The program exposes children to new words, concepts and ideas while teaching them to pay attention in a group setting. For caregivers, storytime is a wonderful way to bond with your child and an opportunity to learn new songs, rhymes and ways of telling stories. The program also provides an opportunity to make new friends for both children and caregivers.

Santa Catalina Branch Library, located at 999 E. Washington Blvd., has served the Pasadena community since its establishment in 1913. The current building opened in 1931 and is home to the Pasadena Public Library system’s Armenian language collection, with staff able to accommodate both English and Armenian speaking patrons. The library’s collections are also available in Spanish and French.

The branch maintains strong community partnerships, including a relationship with Longfellow School that dates back to 1918. The Toddler Storytime program is part of a larger commitment to early childhood literacy, with the Pasadena Public Library system offering over 60 storytimes each month across its branch locations.

Santa Catalina Branch Library is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
