Tommy Davidson Plays Pasadena’s Ice House Sunday, Days After His Paramount+ Series Premiere

Published on Sep 5, 2026

Comedian Tommy Davidson takes the stage in the Ice House Legendary Room at 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, at 24 N. Mentor Ave. in Pasadena.

The show is set for 6 to 7:30 p.m. and is restricted to ages 21 and older. It comes five days after the Paramount+ premiere of “The Varnell Hill Show,” in which Davidson stars as a late-night talk-show host he first played on “Martin” in 1993.

Davidson was an original cast member of “In Living Color” and voiced Oscar Proud in Disney’s “The Proud Family” and Cream Corn in Adult Swim’s “Black Dynamite.” His film credits include Spike Lee’s “Bamboozled” and “Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls.”

Davidson told UPI he is “100 percent happy about this opportunity,” describing the series as the product of seven years of pitching after Martin Lawrence backed the idea.

Doors open at 5 p.m. The club is cashless and requires a two-item minimum per seat in the showroom, and it says lineups are subject to change.

The Ice House opened in 1960 and bills itself as the oldest comedy club in the country. Owner Johnny Buss has said a comedian’s “rite of passage is through The Ice House in Pasadena.”
