Free weekly Geeks Who Drink quiz night at T. Boyle’s has become a regular Playhouse Village event, with trivia nights documented since at least 2010.
Every Tuesday at 8 p.m., teams gather at T. Boyle’s Tavern in Pasadena’s Playhouse Village to test their knowledge at Geeks Who Drink trivia night, a free weekly event that has become a fixture of the neighborhood’s nightlife scene.
The tavern, located at 37 N. Catalina Ave., hosts the team-based quiz competition as part of a partnership with Geeks Who Drink, a national pub-quiz brand. According to event listings, “T. Boyle’s Tavern is the new home of Geeks Who Drink trivia night.”
Visit Pasadena describes T. Boyle’s Tavern as “a roomy tavern offering a variety of beer and pub food, live bands and lots of TVs to watch the big game.” On Tuesdays it transforms into a battleground for trivia enthusiasts who “gather your friends and test your knowledge every Tuesday evening, starting at 8 p.m. sharp” while they “enjoy great food, refreshing drinks, and a lively atmosphere as you compete for bragging rights and fun prizes.”
Trivia at T. Boyle’s dates back at least to July 2010, when Pasadena Now reported the tavern had launched Action Trivia Night every Tuesday from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Proprietor Troy Boyle noted at the time, “It’s free to play and win prizes.”
As of early 2026, the schedule maintains a weekly Tuesday night format that has made the event a community staple.
