The Mixx in Pasadena will host a double tribute concert on Saturday, March 29 featuring performances honoring Nine Inch Nails and System of a Down. From 8 to 11:30 p.m., the venue promises attendees an evening of recognizable hits from both influential rock bands.

Nine Inch Nails, commonly known as NIN, formed in Cleveland, Ohio in 1988, and consists of singer-songwriter Trent Reznor and his frequent collaborator Atticus Ross.

System of a Down formed in Glendale, California in 1994 and features Serj Tankian, Daron Malakian, Shavo Odadjian, and John Dolmayan, who replaced original drummer Andy Khachaturian in 1997.

Located at 443 E. Colorado Blvd., The Mixx’s 3.5-hour event will showcase two tribute acts composed of experienced musicians with professional backgrounds, in this event that the venue promotes as “TWO AMAZING TRIBUTES, ONE FUNTASTIC NIGHT!”

NAILS, the Nine Inch Nails tribute band, features members from Southern California cover group The Reflexx and former major label artists from Mad At Gravity, 8Stops7, and Pressure 4-5. These musicians have performed in various professional headlining acts throughout all of North America.

The group aims to deliver “the raw emotion, precise musicality, and intense energy of the live performances of one of the most important bands in modern music,” says the NAILS website. Their members use only top-of-the-line equipment, and excel with their chosen instruments to provide “the most accurate LIVE replication of Nine Inch Nails performances.”

System Of A Clown, formed in fall 2022, brings “the power and originality of System Of A Down’s unique music plus a twist of clowny goodness,” according to the tribute’s website. The Los Angeles-based tribute band delivers “a hard-hitting, musically authentic, and exceptionally entertaining show that audiences never forget” and consists of “seasoned performers with national touring and label experience.”

The event offers fans an opportunity to dance and sing along to “all our favorite NIN and System of a Down all night long, ” a statement from The Mixx said. Attendees can also view live music videos on a large LED wall while enjoying drink and dinner specials.

The venue is promoting free parking for the event. To purchase tickets, go to this Eventbrite link.
