Twohey’s Restaurant just over the city line down in South Pasadena, a San Gabriel Valley icon since 1943, has revved up the tradition and is debuting a new Curbside Carhop, 21st Century Pandemic style.
“You can’t get by with just deliveries and takeout,” said co-owner Tanya Christos. “And we are always trying to innovate. We believe that bringing back this tradition allows diners to visit more often while enjoying our old time favorites and new menu items and practicing safety protocols from the safe haven of their own cars.”
With just a phone call, diners can place their orders and reserve a spot for one of the six designated parking spaces. There’s even a Twohey’s Spotify playlist available for you to rock out to as you devour your meal.
Gerardo Talamantes, Sr. and Enrique Elias, Twohey’s executive chefs, have also created three distinctive menus as part of the new take-out service.
