You can’t hurry love, but you can’t postpone it either, even in a pandemic.

Despite Covid-19, engaged couples can still have an intimate wedding at posh venues that would have been unthinkable months ago in better times, such as the beautiful brick patio at downtown Los Angeles’ California Club or the rooftop deck at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum with the iconic Olympic torch in the background.

These are just two of the high-caliber locations that brides and grooms can choose from with JdV (Joie de Vivre) Petite Weddings, an all-encompassing concierge-style wedding planning service that complies with all pandemic safety protocols but offers luxurious touches for a couple’s special day. (Group size is limited to the happy couple and eight guests.)

“It would be exceptionally expensive, not to mention difficult, to plan an intimate wedding of this caliber at The Coliseum–or any of our venues–if you were planning it yourself,” says Jennifer Hronek, the JdV wedding planner and designer based in La Cañada Flintridge. “By sharing resources and taking care of all of the details, we have made it not only easy and accessible, but also cost-effective for couples to have everything they would want in a big wedding scaled down to a special tiny wedding that they will remember for the rest of their life.”

The planners tap into resources that probably wouldn’t have been available or financially possible during non-COVID times, explains Hronek. She collaborates with top creatives in the wedding industry, including Pasadena’s David Navarro, Jacob Maarse Florist’s lead designer, who can create ceremony backdrops, tabletop décor and flowers to carry or wear.

By visiting the JdV website, couples can see available dates and times at specific locations–other venues will be added soon including a Napa Valley winery and a SoCal beach site–as well select how pampered and elaborate they want their wedding to be.

Pricing for JdV Petite Weddings typically ranges from $9,500 to $12,000 and includes all costs: the venue, event planning & design, florals, photography, videography, music, officiant services, rentals, food and beverages, as well as all service charges, sales tax and gratuities.  (Hair and makeup artists, upgraded photos and other live music services are extra.)
