The “Unhappy Valentine Show” will take place at The Mixx, located at 443 East Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena, scheduled from 8 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
“Dear Cupid, This Valentines we wish you and UNHAPPY VALENTINES at our live tribute to MORRISSEY, The Smiths, Johnny Marr with HEADMASTER performing all the hits LIVE!” reads the event description on The Mixx website.
The tribute band HEADMASTER will perform live renditions of songs from Morrissey’s solo career and his work with The Smiths.
DJ Jack Tames will provide 80s music between sets, spinning New Wave, Synth Pop and Dark Wave tracks. Attendees can “Dance ang sig along to all your favorite New Wave, Synth Pop, Dark Wave 80s Live Music Video Hits with DJ Jack Tames,” according to promotional materials.
The venue is promoting drink and dinner specials for the evening, along with free parking. Tickets are available through posh.vip.
The event is part of broader 80s music programming at The Mixx, which hosted a “SING YOUR LIFE, A MORRISSEY KARAOKE HAPPY HOURS” event on February 7.
Multiple ticketing platforms, including Eventbrite, AllEvents, viagogo and Vivid Seats, have confirmed the February 13 date, though some list the end time as 11:30 p.m. rather than the venue’s advertised 1 a.m. closing.
