“Return to Woodsboro: Celebrating 30 Years of Terror” is organized by Voodoo Magic Studios, which describes it as an unofficial fan celebration not affiliated with Paramount Pictures, Spyglass Media Group or Fun World.
The convention runs from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at 300 E. Green St., the organizer said.
The organizer lists professional photo opportunities, autograph sessions, celebrity meet-and-greets, panels, a cosplay contest and a vendor floor. It bills its guests as stars from the franchise and the MTV series.
General admission costs $45.96 for Friday, $65.96 for Saturday and $55.96 for Sunday, and a three-day weekend pass costs $96.96, all before California tax.
The Pasadena Convention Center is a 130,000-square-foot facility in the city’s Civic Center District, 10 miles from downtown Los Angeles, according to Visit Pasadena.
