Pasadena Village’s Urban Walkers invite you to meet them at the Eaton Canyon Nature Center parking lot on Friday, Oct. 21, at 8:30 a.m., and walk the 1.5 level trail to the bridge, round trip about three miles.
Participants are advised to bring water, a hat, and a walking stick. After the walk, you will be treated to a picnic morning brunch of pastries, coffee, and juice, hosted by Pasadena Village members Tom and Elizabeth Polenzani.
Eaton Canyon Natural Area is a 190-acre zoological, botanical, and geological nature preserve situated at the base of the beautiful San Gabriel Mountains. Visitors can enjoy its hiking trails, equestrian trails with a staging area, picnic areas, seasonal stream, rocks and minerals, various natural habitats, native plants, and wildlife.
This free program is offered by Pasadena Village, a nonprofit that’s celebrating its 10th anniversary. It’s also part of Open October, a month-long open house featuring a wide array of free and low-cost events and programs.
