Pasadena Public Library’s Villa Parke Branch will host Princess Day Storytime on Tuesday, Nov. 18, from 10 to 10:30 a.m., promising what the library describes as “a royally fun storytime celebrating all things magical, sparkly, and storybook-worthy.”

The free event invites children to “come dressed in your finest princess attire—gowns, tiaras, and royal accessories encouraged,” according to the library’s promotional materials. The 30-minute program will feature “enchanting stories, songs, and fairy tale fun.”

Located at 363 E. Villa St. on the second floor of Villa Parke Community Center, the branch has established a pattern of hosting themed Tuesday morning storytimes, often coordinated with the Villa Parke Farmers’ Market, which operates from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Previous 2025 themed events at Villa Parke included “Emerald City Adventures” in April and “Spooktacular Storytime” in October.

Villa Parke Branch Library operates Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is closed on weekends. The branch opened on July 12, 1992, and houses a collection of 9,064 items.

Tim McDonald, director of Pasadena’s Department of Libraries & Information Services, oversees 10 branch locations that collectively circulate over 1.2 million library books, DVDs, and other resources per year. Pasadena Public Library offers over 60 storytimes each month systemwide.

Villa Parke Community Center serves as what the city describes as “a very strong link between the Spanish-speaking community and city government.” The center houses multiple facilities including a Head Start Preschool and Women, Infants and Children Center.

Princess Day Storytime will run on Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 10-10:30 a.m. Villa Parke Branch Library, 363 E. Villa St., Pasadena. For more information, call (626) 744-6510 or visit https://www.cityofpasadena.net/library/?trumbaEmbed=view%3Devent%26eventid%3D191011577. Admission: Free.
