After helping host more than a thousand celebrations over the years, NOOR General Manager Robert Shahnazarian has come to believe those moments reveal something remarkable about people. NOOR is an award‑winning private event venue in the heart of Pasadena.
“On paper, every celebration is different,” Robert says. “The traditions change. The music changes. The food changes. The languages spoken around the tables change. But the emotions never really do.”

Those observations gradually changed the way Robert thought about his own profession.

People weren’t simply renting a ballroom.
They were entrusting someone with memories that could never be recreated.

“The arrival should feel effortless,” Robert explains. “The lighting should make the room feel warm. The service should be gracious without being intrusive. The evening should flow naturally from one moment to the next. Hosts shouldn’t spend their celebration solving problems. They should be making memories.”

The spontaneous laughter.
The emotional speech.
