The action film “Bullet Train” starring Brad Pitt opened with $30.1 million this weekend to top the box office charts, according to industry estimates released Sunday.
“DC League of Super-Pets,” which opened in first place last weekend, took second place with $11.2 million Friday through Sunday at theaters in North America, Comscore reported.
“Nope” was third with $8.5 million in its third week.
“Thor: Love and Thunder” was fourth with $7.6 million in its fifth week, followed by “Minions: The Rise of Gru,” which took in $7.1 million in its sixth week in theaters.
Rounding out the top 10 domestic releases, as estimated by Comscore, were “Top Gun: Maverick” ($7 million), “Where the Crawdads Sing” ($5.6 million), “Easter Sunday” ($5.2 million), “Elvis” ($4 million) and “The Black Phone” ($1.4 million).
This weekend’s overall estimated three-day box office grosses are $92.2 million. The year-to-date total is up to $500 billion — an increase of 186% over 2021’s figure, according to Comscore.
