While we have long posited that every culture in the world has a hot dog and a burrito equivalent in their culinary lineup, they also have a donut equivalent.
It’s called a donut.
So in that world cultural spirit, the iconic Randy’s Donuts, which features a location on Lake Avenue, is celebrating the grand re-opening of their Pasadena location, featuring a newly renovated front patio. The celebration takes place this Friday, September 13 at 230 S Lake Avenue, from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Randy’s will be offering a free glazed donut to each visitor from 6 a.m.to noon that day of the re-opening, while supplies last.
The store will also be hosting a raffle beginning on Friday, September 13, through Sunday, September 15. Four winners picked from a raffle bucket on Monday, September 16, will win a $250 gift card to any Randy’s Donuts locations.
That. Is. A. Lot. Of. Donuts.
Randy’s is also introducing new menu items available at their Pasadena location, including breakfast sandwiches, a breakfast burrito, and ice cream sandwiches. The breakfast sandwiches include Bacon and Egg on a Croissant with Provolone Cheese and Sausage and Egg on an English Muffin with Provolone Cheese, while the breakfast burrito features Bacon or Sausage and Egg with Cheddar Cheese & Hash Browns.
Each ice cream sandwich features vanilla ice cream sealed in a warm, freshly baked donut (!) and topped with an array of toppings. Choose from the Classic, S’mores, Unicorn, and Cookie Monster.
Best known for its 32-foot giant rooftop donut at its original location in Inglewood, Randy’s Donuts, which was founded in 1952, has over 60 different varieties of classic, deluxe, fancy, and premium donuts along with Randy’s Rounds (Their larger version of a donut hole).
There’s also a variety of coffee blends, espressos, cold brew, iced-drinks, and frappes powered by Randy’s Roast, Randy’s Donuts proprietary coffee roaster blend. The new beverage program includes refreshers, boba and milkshakes.
