The Pasadena Humane Society’s 22nd annual Wiggle Waggle Walk is going virtual for 2020, and you can join thousands of fellow animal lovers on Sunday, Sept. 27, for a walk around your block to raise funds for animals in need.
The Wiggle Waggle Walk is the Humane Society’s biggest fundraiser of the year, with proceeds providing food, shelter, and better veterinary care to more than 11,000 animals who come to Pasadena Humane every year.
In addition to the walk, there will be a roster of fun-filled activities – including a Virtual Vendor Fair, almost like walking through the vendor expo at Brookside Park, where you can visit a variety of wonderful animals and community-based vendors online and browse through their products.
The Virtual Vendor Fair features an interactive map to connect you with every vendor “booth” that’s part of the fair. By purchasing online, you get to support these partners who give back to the Pasadena Humane Society in a variety of ways.
You will also be challenged to virtual contests, with a variety of prizes to enjoy.
To join, please register to participate and fundraise to help the animals. You can walk anywhere and support the Pasadena Humane Society, with or without your dog.
A great way to support the PHS and encourage others to do so is to like Pasadena Humane on Facebook, mark yourself as “going” on the Wiggle Waggle Walk Your Block event, and share your photos and videos throughout the day on social media by using #WiggleWaggleWalkYourBlock and @pasadenahumane.
Also, you can post the “I am walking in the Wiggle Waggle Walk Your Block to support Pasadena Humane” social media badge on your Facebook or Instagram page, and let everyone know you are walking.
“Feel free to walk on your block, head out to an open park or hiking trail, or get creative and walk on a treadmill or in your backyard. Just make sure to have fun and stay safe,” the PHS said in a reminder.
