Women Involved in South Pasadena Political Action (WISPPA), a women’s group that’s pushing for accountability, integrity, and transparency in South Pasadena government, is hosting its 2022 WISPPA Cocktail Party on Tuesday, June 21, at the home of WISPPA founder Mary Urquhart and her husband Bill.
The home is located at 1210 Chelten Way in South Pasadena. The cocktail party begins at 6 p.m.
Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger will be the featured speaker and honored guest.
WISPPA started as a women’s group, but welcomes everyone to join. Membership dues help to strengthen WISPPA as “an organization that is committed to transparency in the political workings of South Pasadena.”
“When we speak as a group on issues of local importance, local and state officials listen,” a WISPPA statement on its website says.
