The recurring Social Services–run activity is part of the center’s February 2026 programming and is designed as a low-barrier way for participants to stay mentally engaged.
Participants are invited to “start the month with a fun, brain-boosting activity” by picking up a printed word-search puzzle at the Welcome Desk, completing it and returning it by the stated deadline to be entered into the raffle.
The event is sponsored by Social Services and is offered at no cost to older adults who take part.
The Pasadena Senior Center is a donor-supported nonprofit organization serving adults “life after 50,” with programs focused on social interaction, recreation, basic needs, education, volunteerism and community activism.
The word search challenge is one of the lighthearted offerings intended to bring people into the center, encourage regular visits and give participants an easy way to connect with staff.
Word Search Challenge! & Raffle runs through Friday, Feb. 27, beginning Monday, Feb. 2, at Pasadena Senior Center, 85 E. Holly St., in Pasadena.Pasadena Senior Center, 85 E. Holly St., Pasadena.
