The cellist who has recorded with Green Day, Guns N’ Roses, Dr. Dre, Depeche Mode, Whitney Houston, Andrea Bocelli, and Brian Wilson is coming to South Pasadena—and admission is free.

Cameron Stone, a professional session cellist who attended the USC School of Music, performs this Thursday as part of the Jones House Band, a lively trio of highly talented musicians with years of experience in orchestral performances, studio production, and commercial music production. The concert takes place from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Jones Coffee Roasters’ South Pasadena location.

The band features Stone on lead cello and vocals, Dan Marfisi on guitars, keys, programming, and vocals, and Heather Marie Marsden on vocals and cello. Their performance will include “pop songs, movie scores, orchestral sounds, and original compositions made with cellos, guitars, and rich vocals,” spanning Pop, Rock, and Retro Mid-Century Pop styles.

Marfisi is a producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist with credits including work with artist Poe, The Turtles, and projects for “The X-Files.” Marsden is a vocalist and cellist who began playing cello at age seven and is a native of Detroit.

The performance is family-friendly and coincides with the South Pasadena Farmers Market, which operates adjacent to the cafe from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. every Thursday.

Jones House Band will run on Thursday, January 8 at 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Jones Coffee Roasters, 1006 Mission Street, South Pasadena. For more information, call (626) 564-9291 or visit https://www.jonescoffeeroasters.com/pages/events.
