Young & Healthy Pasadena’s first-ever Pickleball Palooza brought energy, laughter, and a strong sense of purpose to Arcadia County Park on Saturday, October 21, drawing about 130 participants for an afternoon of spirited play and community giving.

Held at the iPickle Courts from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., the lively fundraiser blended fun and philanthropy, rallying local residents to help provide essential health services for underserved children and families in the Pasadena area. Guests enjoyed food, beverages, gift bags, and clinics designed for all skill levels—from seasoned players to first-time paddle holders.

The event underscored Young & Healthy’s longstanding commitment to community well-being. Since 1990, the Pasadena-based nonprofit has offered free medical, dental, mental health, and care navigation services to children and families who lack adequate insurance. Today, that mission is carried forward through a dedicated network of more than 350 volunteer healthcare professionals.

Proceeds from Pickleball Palooza will support Young & Healthy’s expanding programs, which include assistance with insurance enrollment, tax preparation, and trauma-informed care training for local organizations.

As paddles clacked and laughter echoed across the courts, participants celebrated more than just a game—they celebrated a cause that keeps Pasadena’s children healthy, hopeful, and ready to thrive.
