It is not often that I am rendered speechless, but when I got my first look at the 2023 Genesis G90 AWD 3.5 T E-Supercharger the only word I could utter was “wow”. The sleek exterior was enrobed in a matt gray, with flush door handles. It looked sporty and stealth. But when I opened the driver door I was greeted with a luscious cream interior with burled wood insets…WOW! The juxtaposition between the space-age exterior and the sumptuous interior was awe-inspiring. I felt like a million bucks driving that car.

But that was not all the surprises the G90 had in store, with a push of a button the driver and passenger door opened part-way to avoid damage to surrounding cars. Once inside a push of a button on the door and it closed ever-so gently. All-in-all the G90 is a really impressive luxury sedan.

The 2023 Genesis G90 comes in two trims the G90 3.5T AWD and G90 3.5T E-Supercharger AWD. This review will focus on the E-Supercharger model.

The E-Supercharger model comes equipped with 21-inch wheels, lending it both a commanding presence and enhanced stability on the road. Its air suspension ensures a ride that’s smooth and refined, effortlessly absorbing road imperfections. Every detail speaks of luxury; for instance, the soft-close doors provide a gentle and sophisticated touch to the car’s operation. The interior boasts power-adjustable rear seats that are not only ventilated but also feature a massaging function. These seats are further enhanced with a memory function, ensuring personalized comfort every time. For the tech-savvy passenger, a rear-seat wireless device charger is conveniently situated. And, to elevate the driving experience even further, the 26-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium audio system guarantees your tunes will rock.

Making the G90 go is a V6, supercharged engine producing 409 horses and 405 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission with all wheel drive. Expect to get 17/city, 24/highway and 20/combined MPG.

On the inside the G90 is a delight of soft and shiny, sleek and plush. It really is a comfortable place to be. Leather and similar materials are generously used throughout the interior — the seats are adorned with Nappa leather, the headliner boasts a rich microsuede, and the dash, door panels, and consoles feature a convincingly luxurious faux leather. The redesigned dashboard adopts a more streamlined and linear aesthetic, eliminating excess buttons for a cleaner look. Twin 12-inch screens elegantly present digital gauges, various system statuses, and entertainment options.

Driving the G90 was a joy with its low-end torque and responsive engine. The suspension did a great job of dampening even the worst of road imperfections. It cornered well but was a bit floaty around intense turns. The interior was a joy with its 26-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium audio system and quiet drive. I really enjoyed everything about this vehicle!
