Volkswagen is set to introduce a special model of its popular Tiguan SUV for 2024, aiming to generate excitement before the launch of an all-new version in 2025. The Tiguan Wolfsburg Edition, based on the SE trim, will offer unique design elements and features at a competitive price point, a company statement said.
The new model will be available in four exterior colors: Atlantic Blue, Deep Black Pearl, Platinum Grey, and Pure White, the statement said. A distinctive 18-inch wheel design with a machine-finished five-spoke over gloss-black 10-spoke pattern will set it apart from other Tiguan models.
Exterior enhancements include Wolfsburg badging in black and silver, silver mirror caps and front bumper accents, and a black window surround. Chrome door and bumper inserts, along with a chrome Bumperdillo®, complete the exterior styling package.
Inside, the Wolfsburg Edition features a Titan Black leatherette interior with exclusive Snap Orange stitching, a nod to the popular Habanero Orange color from the second-generation Tiguan’s debut. The special model also includes unique décor, illuminated scuff plates from R-Line® trims, and 30-color LED ambient lighting.
Standard features from the SE trim carry over, including remote start, KESSY® keyless access, push-button start, and a power tailgate. The Volkswagen Digital Cockpit, an 8-inch Composition Media infotainment system with wireless App-Connect and SiriusXM® with 360L, IQ.DRIVE® driver assistance feature, auto-dimming mirror, rain-sensing wipers with heated park, and heated washer nozzles are also included.
The Tiguan Wolfsburg Edition will be priced at $30,995 for the front-wheel-drive version and $32,495 for the 4Motion® all-wheel-drive variant. Volkswagen has not released specific production numbers for this limited edition model.
The company said this special release comes as Volkswagen prepares to launch an all-new Tiguan model for the 2025 model year. The Wolfsburg Edition serves as a bridge between the current generation and the upcoming redesign.
