Man Charged for Lewdness in Presence of Child Near South Pasadena Library on Monday

South Pasadena detectives are investigating an incident of lewd conduct that occurred on Monday, June 22, at about 7:20 p.m. at the South Pasadena Public Library, 1100 Oxley Street.

According to authorities, a male suspect described as Hispanic, 50-60 years-old, with gray and black hair tied back in a ponytail, and wearing a gray sleeveless T-shirt, is wanted for engaging in lewd acts in the presence of a 16 year-old female seated in the “teen” section of the library. The suspect fled the library before police were called.

There is no further information currently available on the suspect at this time and the results of evidence collected at the scene are forthcoming.
