Thousands of Cookies were delivered to hospitalized, homeless and special needs veterans as part of the annual “Operation Cookie” project held on Wednesday, May 25, at the Woman’s Club of South Pasadena.     The cookies were individually packed into cheerfully decorated containers labeled with a special thank you to the veterans for their military service.

The cookies were then delivered to patients at Veteran’s Hospitals, to the Wounded Warriors Battalion at Camp Pendleton, to the Jimmy Miller Foundation in Manhattan Beach that provides ocean therapy for veterans, and to homeless and special needs veterans throughout southern California. “Support is more important than ever for the increasing number of veterans who will be remembered with your cookies for Memorial Day,” said the Woman’s Club’s Beverly Biber, who headed up the effort.

Home baked cookies or quality pre-packaged cookies, including sugar free cookies, were delivered to the Woman’s Club at 1424 Fremont Avenue on both Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Club’s popular curbside “cookie drop off” service was also provided both days.  For more information, or to learn how you or your business can help in other ways, including financial donations to help defray expenses for supplies, call (213) 300-9305 or visit the club website: www.thewcsp.org.
