Parsons to Sponsor and Participate in Safety Week 2015

Parsons, a worldwide leader in occupational health and safety, is pleased to announce that it is both a Safety Week 2015 (May 4 – 8) sponsor and participant. In its second year, Safety Week is being recognized by more than 40 national and global construction firms that participate in the Construction Industry Safety Initiative (CISI) and the Incident & Injury-Free (IIF) Executive Forum with the goal of inspiring everyone in the industry to be leaders in safety.

During Safety Week, Parsons will feature a new safety topic daily—ranging from fall protection and health and wellness to hand protection—and will provide a variety of events and activities in which employees—both on projects and in offices—can participate.

In 2014, Parsons received the National Safety Achievement Award and the Corporate Culture of Safety Award from the National Safety Council. Parsons is also one of only five companies in the United States to be accepted into (and continue participating in) OSHA’s Corporate Voluntary Protection Program—a cooperative program that partners with employers and workers who have implemented effective safety and health management systems and who maintain injury and illness rates below federal Bureau of Labor Statistics averages for their respective industries.
