On January 30, Pasadena Police officers were notified of a missing person (Adult Male Hispanic). Officers documented the incident and began their investigation. Despite our efforts, we were unable to locate the missing adult for several weeks. On March 13, at about 2:20 p.m., Pasadena Police officers were notified of a possible suicide in the 3100 block of Linda Vista Road in Glendale. Glendale Police Department (GPD) officers located a male who had apparently committed suicide in their city. He was subsequently identified as the missing person from Pasadena. GPD is investigating the incident; however, we were notified that there does not appear to be any evidence of foul play.

On March 16, at about 8:16 p.m., Pasadena Violence Reduction Task Force Officers Cordova and Nersesyan responded to La Pintoresca Park regarding a call of females fighting.  On arrival, several males and females fled the location. Officers Cordova and Nersesyan noticed damage to the windshield of a silver car parked on the Raymond Avenue side of the park.  Believing the damaged was related to the disturbance call, officers examined the exterior of the vehicle. When Officers Cordova and Nersesyan looked into the interior of the vehicle; they saw a revolver on the floorboard in plain view.  The registered owner of the vehicle failed to contact the officers during their investigation.  The officers recovered the revolver, which was fully loaded.  The officers in this case used some great initiative and removed another gun from our streets.

On March 16, Pasadena Police officers responded to the 300 block of North Allen Avenue regarding a strong-arm robbery investigation. On arrival, officers detained the suspect (Male Hispanic Adult) and talked with the victim. Based on their investigation, the officers learned that the suspect and victim became involved in an altercation. During the fight, the suspect demanded the victim’s bicycle. The incident was captured on a remote camera system. The suspect was arrested without incident and booked at the Pasadena jail on felony charges.

On March 17, at about 3:42 p.m., Pasadena Police officers responded to the 1000 block of Riviera Drive regarding a strong-arm robbery. On arrival, an officer talked with the victim (Female White, 86 years) who said she drove to the bank to deposit cash and believes she was followed home by the suspect. When the victim arrived at her residence, the suspect approached her, reached inside the vehicle through an open driver’s window, and grabbed a handbag off the front passenger seat. The suspect then fled on foot toward the street. Despite a comprehensive search, officers did not locate the suspect. Our investigation is ongoing.

On March 20, Pasadena Police Officer Brian Petrella received information about a wanted burglary suspect (Williams) who was believed to be in Pasadena. Brian recognized Williams from a prior contact a week earlier. Brian drove to the area of Waverly and Pasadena Avenue and saw Williams. He was detained without incident. Williams was subsequently arrested and booked at the Pasadena jail. Corporal Blanchard and Officer Krikorian responded to assist.

On March 21, at about 1:27 a.m., Pasadena Police officers responded to a call of shots fired in the area of Belmont Street and Idaho Avenue. At the same time, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Altadena Station, received a similar call in the area of Montana Street and Glen Rose Avenue. Officers located four shell casings in the county jurisdiction which appeared to be from a rifle. Officers and deputies also located a parked car with the rear window shot out. LASD handled the investigation since the incident occurred in their jurisdiction.

On March 21, at about 6:56 p.m. Pasadena Police Officer Glockson responded to the 2700 block of East Colorado Blvd regarding alleged narcotics sales. On arrival Officer Glockson observed the two subject (male and female) involved in the activity. During his investigation Officer Glockson determined the subjects were not involved in narcotics sales, however, the male suspect (Donald Rogers) had a no bail warrant for his arrest. Officer Glockson arrested the male suspect without incident, handcuffed and placed him in the rear of the marked police vehicle. Officer J. Yoo responded to assist Officer Glockson and bother turned their attention to the female subject. As Officers Yoo and Glockson were talking with the female, the Suspect Rogers began kicking the rear passenger window. As Officer Glockson walked towards the patrol car, Rogers successfully kicked out the rear window. The glass shards struck Officer Glockson in the eyes / face causing several lacerations. Officer J. Yoo restrained Rogers and transferred him to another patrol vehicle. Rogers was booked at the Pasadena jail. Officer Glockson was transported to a local area hospital for medical assessment.
