A parked police car was spray painted with gang slogans today by gang members as officers walked a footbeat in Northwest Pasadena, Lt. Jason Clawson said.
The incident occurred about 3:20 p.m. Monday near Robinson Park at the intersection of Hammond Street and Fair Oaks Avenue.
The graffiti was painted on the car’s passenger side, Clawson said, noting that although vandalism of police cars happens frequently the blatant spray painting of slogans in broad daylight as in this case “is rare.”
“The people who did this,” he said, “Should be ashamed of themselves.”
No suspects were apprehended.
