Pasadena City College sophomore goalie Angelique Ulmer and sophomore defender Danielle Busta were each selected to the 2014 All-South Coast Conference women’s soccer team. Ulmer was picked to the First Team and Busta grabbed Second Team honors, making her a two-time selection (also in 2012).
Ulmer (South Pasadena High) made 126 saves this season and recorded six shutouts this season. Her 13 over two years is a PCC school record. She backstopped seven blankings as a freshman to reach a new single-season record in 2013. Ulmer totaled 201 saves in her two seasons.
Busta (Crescenta Valley High) played on PCC’s playoff team in ’12 and after missing the ’13 season due to injury she returned to again become one the Lancers’ top defensive players. Busta also scored a goal and an assist.
Sophomore defender Karina Costilla received an All-SCC honorable mention. She was the only Lancer to play in all 41 of PCC’s matches over the past two seasons.
