Pasadena Police Lt. Mark Goodman said the car’s driver, a 54-year-old Altadena woman, remained at the scene and was cooperative.

The driver was not detained and alcohol does not appear to have been a factor in the incident, Goodman said.

Goodman said the victim was apparently crossing Washington Boulevard in a northerly direction when the eastbound driver struck her in the number one lane.

Accident investigators closed both directions of Washington Boulevard between North Lake Avenue and North El Molino Avenue for hours to investigate the incident.
