Pasadena police officers captured a man wanted for a San Bernardino County armed kidnapping after a brief pursuit, authorities said.
The suspect was captured Thursday after Pasadena police received information about 12:30 p.m. regarding a person wanted by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, according to a statement by authorities.
Officers saw the suspect driving near the intersection of Rosemont and Walnut Street near the Rose Bowl and attempted to pull him over after he failed to stop at a traffic light. Officers followed the suspect to a residence near the area of Manzanita Avenue and Orange Grove Boulevard, police said.
A brief police containment of the area was established, and the suspect ultimately surrendered without incident.
The suspect has identified only as a 50-year-old man. Authorities did not disclose details of the original kidnapping.
