Police Warn Of Robbers Who Have Ambushed at Least Six on Pasadena Streets

The Pasadena Police Department has issued a crime alert asking people to help in locating two men who had been involved in a series of street robberies and victimized at least six people in Pasadena over the past two weeks.

On February 2, police said at least two men in a black SUV and armed with a handgun went on a brazen armed robbery spree at three locations within an hour. Two of the robberies that night occurred a single block apart on North Mar Vista Avenue, while the other happened on North Euclid Avenue.

On Tuesday, February 14, police believe the same men terrorized two more people in the 2000 block of Newport Avenue, according to a NBC 4 report.

A Pasadena police bulletin said “two victims walking home were approached by two suspects and robbed at gunpoint.”

Police described the suspect as “two black males with a gun and driving a dark-colored vehicle,” and said the two have been robbing pedestrians in residential areas.

On the first three incidents on February 2, police described the suspects’ vehicle as a black SUV. Police also said the suspects conducted each armed robbery – including the latest Tuesday night – in the same fashion: walking up to the victim from behind, threatening the victim with a handgun, and then fleeing in a black SUV with the loot.
