Rainy Washington’s Birthday Holiday Predicted

The National Weather Service predicts a 50 percent chance of rain in Pasadena on Washington’s Birthday Monday as a wet and cool weather pattern resumes and persists through the middle of the week when a series of low pressure systems moves into the U.S. West Coast.

Skies will remain cloudy Monday and it will be another cool day across the region. Highs will be near 63 as a calm wind of around five miles per hour blows in from the south southeast.

Monday night sees a 30 percent chance of rain, otherwise it will be mostly cloudy with a low around 51. At this time, another band of moisture sags southward from northern and central California, but rain amounts across Los Angeles County are expected to be on the light side.

Tuesday may have some amount of rain before 10 a.m. then will be mostly cloudy with a high near 64. Across the county, rainfall totals should be one-tenth to one-third of an inch at this time.

Tuesday night will be mostly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of showers. Lows will be around 49.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny, although the NWS says there could be a 20 percent chance of showers. A new storm system moving through central California at about this time may not affect Pasadena or Los Angeles County, but another storm system may bring rain to the region by late Saturday, and this system could be stronger and bring more significant rain, says the NWS.

Wednesday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 44.
