[Updated at 8:30 a.m. | Saturday, September 24, 2016] Six people were stabbed by a man with a large pocket knife at a house party in the 3100 block of East California Boulevard around 3:10 a.m. Saturday morning, police said.

A seventh victim was transported to a local hospital with blunt force trauma injuries, according to Pasadena Fire Department spokesperson Lisa Derderian.

The victims are all expected to recover. Two are in critical but stable condition. Four received from moderate to severe injuries, according to Pasadena Police Lt. Vasken Gourdikian.

The victims, described by police as “Asian males,” range in age from 22 to 25 years of ages. They are residents of San Jose, Claremont, El Monte, Alhambra, and two live in Arcadia.

Police said their investigation revealed that the suspect had bumped into someone at the party and a fight quickly erupted. During the fight, the suspect pulled out a knife and started to stab people.

Gourdikian said there were about 150 people at the party at the time of the stabbings.

The sole suspect was taken into custody. The knife used was recovered by police.

Police reported the suspect is 21-year-old Aaron Hong Te, a San Gabriel city resident. Authorities said Te will be charged with attempted murder and is currently being held in the Pasadena City Jail.
