The Sierra Madre Police Dept. is cautioning that snake sightings are on the rise in recent weeks and says one person has been bitten.
“Please use caution when outside your home. The recent weather has caused more and more snakes to awaken and with one reported snake bite victim within the city we ask you be aware of your surroundings,” a Dept. spokesperson said.
“Snakes are commonly found along door frames, stairs, stairways, and under any furniture that provides shade to them,” the official continued.
The warning affects not just Sierra Madre but Altadena and all parts of northern Pasadena and the Arroyo Seco area.
