In another Northern California blaze, the Valley fire near Napa was 15% contained as of Tuesday at 6:45 a.m. while 67,000 acres had burned.
Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. has issued an emergency proclamation for Lake and Napa counties due to the effects of the Valley Fire, which has burned thousands of acres of land and caused the evacuation of residents and damage to highways and other infrastructure.
The proclamation also incorporates provisions from an executive order issued last month to expedite the debris removal process and waive fees to replace documents such as birth certificates for those affected by the fire.
Brown said said main cause behind the fast-spreading fires is dry conditions from the drought.
As of Tuesday, there are 4,668 total 516 fire engines, 82 crews, eight airtankers, and 18 helicopters fighting the blaze.
