Windy Weather Thursday Through Weekend

Thursday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 83, as gusty northwest winds continue throughout the Southland.

“The main story over the next several days will be the continued northerly wind episodes through at least this weekend,” the National Weather Service says in a forecast discussion Wednesday. “This pattern is due to the broad northwest upper flow over the western states and inside slider disturbances moving through the region into the Great Basin.”

Winds of five to 10 miles per hour will be increasing to 10 to 15 mph Thursday morning in Pasadena and surrounding areas, and could gust as high as 25 mph, the forecast says.

Thursday night will be mostly clear and breezy, with a low around 56, and north northwest winds at 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Friday will be sunny, with a high near 84 and northwest winds of 10 to 15 mph, gusting as high as 25 mph.

Friday night will be mostly clear, with a low around 56.

Windy conditions will have abated by Saturday, and the day will be sunny, with a high near 89.

Saturday night will be clear, with a low around 56.

Sunday will be sunny, with a high near 86.
