La Salle High School Ranks as One of the Top Catholic High Schools in California

School data provider Niche has ranked La Salle High School in Pasadena as one of the top Catholic high schools in California, giving it an Overall Niche Grade of A- based on survey inputs from students, parents and professionals and the latest data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Niche provides reviews and insight from what it calls “everyday experts” to make choosing a neighborhood, college, or K-12 school a more transparent process.

On its Best High Schools in California report, Niche said La Salle High School is ranked 15th among 118 private high schools in the state, and 4th among 53 in Los Angeles County.

Niche gave La Salle a B grade in Academics, which incorporates statistics and student, alumni, and parent surveys regarding academics at the school.

A high ranking in Academics generally indicates that students are very happy with the quality of the education they are receiving; that they perform well on standardized assessments, including SATs/ACTs; and that graduates leave the school college- and career-ready.

In Student Culture and Diversity, La Salle got an A+ grade. This means that students and parents report that the school is extremely diverse and fosters a community that accepts and promotes a diversity of viewpoints, backgrounds, beliefs, sexual orientations, and socioeconomic statuses; and that the student body represents a variety of backgrounds and ethnicities.

Regarding their Overall Experience at La Salle High School, four out of five parent and student opinions gave their Overall Experience a positive rating.

A high Overall Experience ranking generally indicates that students are very happy with their experiences in all aspects including academics, teachers, health, safety, resources, facilities, extracurriculars, sports and fitness; that the school is an exceptional academic institution in terms of teachers, students, resources for learning and student outcomes; that the school is made up of a diverse population and fosters an accepting, positive school culture; and that students are actively involved in a variety of extracurriculars and sports the school offers.
