12 Adults, 2 Children Displace By Apartment Fire Wednesday Night

A residential fire on Wednesday night in the 200 block of S. Wilson Ave., a Caltech property, displaced 12 adults and 2 children across four units, according to the Pasadena Fire Department.

Pasadena firefighters responded to the call at 9:59 p.m. 

The fire was contained to the bathroom of one unit, but additional units were evacuated as a precaution. There were no reported injuries among the residents or firefighters.

A Fire Dept. official reported that one unit housing two adults was displaced due to the fire. Two other units, housing seven adults, were displaced due to the odor of smoke. A final unit, housing three adults and two children, was displaced due to minimal water damage.

Caltech offered housing to the displaced residents due to the smell of smoke and water damage.

Fire  was held to the bathroom of one unit.  PFD  did evacuate additional units as a precaution. No injuries to any residents or PFD. Caltech offered housing for additional residents due to the smell of smoke and water damage.
