Police are investigating the theft of an estimated 1,200 pounds of scrap brass fittings from a Pasadena Unified School District maintenance yard last week, authorities said.
The theft of the metal, which was valued at several thousand dollars and awaiting recycling, was discovered Tuesday morning at the maintenance yard, 740 W. Woodbury Road, said Pasadena Police Lt. Sean Dawkins. But a review of surveillance footage showed that the crime occurred on Sept. 21, Dawkins said.
Two male suspects took part in the break-in. However, detailed descriptions of the burglars and the vehicle they used to haul off the scrap metal were not available, he said.
The investigation was ongoing.
