2023 – 2024 LCPC Parent Ed Team Hosts Annual Retreat in its 45th Year

La Cañada Presbyterian Church’s Parent Education Program (LCPC Parent Ed) now in its 45th year, hosted its Annual Team Retreat at the home of Ashley Barrett in Playa Del Rey. The retreat, led by Director Anne Bierling, brought together Staff, the Volunteer Board, and the Ministry Support Team to plan for the year ahead, using Jeremiah 17:7-8 “Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” as their guiding theme. The 2023 – 2024 LCPC Parent Ed Team includes twenty staff members, fourteen volunteer board members, and eight volunteers who serve on the Ministry Support Team.

Staff Members include: Anne Bierling (Director), Amanda Baughman, Betty Bredemann, Nanette Brown, Teresa Chiu, Hayley Dziak, Paula Giboney, Jennifer Gordon, Daniela Kim, Jenn Kliewer, Cathy Lukesh, Ellen Mackle, Sarah Montes, Vicki Rekedal, Katy Riddell, Jan Roberts, Beth Shupper, Tracy Tobias, Jana Van Dyck, and Sloan Walsh.

Volunteer Board Members who fundraise and host special events for LCPC Parent Ed are Ashley Barrett (Board Chair), Elizabeth Angiuli, Amanda Baughman, Stephanie Ferguson, Lauren Gallidoro, Kelsey Hendrix, Annie Hewett, Carrie Kingston, Julie Milbrodt, Charlotte Miller, Sarah New, Jenny Ryan, Amber Gerhardt-Serrano, and Natasha Wood.

Ministry Support Team Members who are all former board members who serve as an advisory council are Lynne Graves (Chair), Ashley Barrett, Debbie Barsom, Anne Bierling, Melanie Frey, Katrina Harbers, Kathy Kovalcik, and Monica Skeehan.
