The $260,000 construction project along Green Street and Fair Oaks Avenue has been completed, according to the Pasadena Department of Public Works.

The project covered infrastructures from De Lacey Avenue to Fair Oaks Avenue and to Fair Oaks Avenue from Union Street to Green Street. The construction began in March and was finished in April.

Long Beach-based Excel Paving Company won the contract from the city to perform the infrastructure project which includes the replacement of existing 10-inch sewer pipe with a new 12-inch pipe on Green Street, reconstruction of intersection curb ramps and retrofitting of existing ramps with “detectable warning surfaces.”

The project also involved pavement resurfacing, as well as the installation of colored stamped asphalt crosswalks, and permanent traffic stripping and markings.

Motorists, cyclists and pedestrians who passed by the area were given up-to-date information about the project status through changeable message signs and other communication tools, the department said.
