Four teenagers allegedly robbed a senior citizen of her purse in Pasadena before being tracked down and arrested on Wednesday evening, officials said.

The crime unfolded at about 7:30 p.m. in the area of Lincoln Avenue and Washington Boulevard, said Pasadena police Lt. Sean Dawkins.

A woman in her 60s exited a bus and was followed by four teenagers who had also been aboard, according to the lieutenant.

“[They] forcibly took her purse, in the process knocking her to the ground,” Dawkins said. The woman was not injured.

A witness who saw the robbery occur called police and relayed a description of the attackers, he said.

Responding officers set up a search perimeter and soon found all four suspects, described as Altadena boys ranging in age from 15 to 17, Dawkins said. Their identities were not released due to their ages.

They were taken into custody without a struggle, and the victim’s purse was recovered and returned to her.
