Pasadena police officers arrested a 52-year-old man after he alleged broke into a home in the 1800 block of Galbreath Road in Pasadena Tuesday morning and verbally attacked a 22-year-old woman police say he had been stalking.
Lt. Pete Hettema said the suspect also attacked the woman’s 50-year-old father as the father tried to defend his daughter.
The incident happened at about 6 a.m.
“The suspect has a two-year history of stalking the victim. This morning, he kicked at the door of the victim’s house to confront her and began verbally attacking her,” Hettema said. “The victim’s father in this case interceded to protect his daughter and his home, and a physical fight ensued between the father and the suspect. The father received contusions and a sore neck during the fight and called police.”
Hettema said suspect ran out of the household as the occupants called police but was located nearby and taken into custody. He was later identified as Robert Ramirez, 52, who claims he is a transient in Pasadena.
“The suspect was arrested for felony stalking, assault with a deadly weapon and burglary,” Hettema said.
