Major items related to the Academic Calendar for 2016-2017 and teacher welfare will be discussed Wednesday, November 18th, as the Board of Trustees of the Pasadena City College meets at its Regular Business Meeting at the PCC Creveling Lounge, starting at 6 p.m.

During the hour-long closed session, the Board is expected to finalize the Collective Bargaining Agreement between PCC and the Califorina Federation of Teachers Local 6525, up for adoption at the open session, and a Memorandum of Understanding with the PCC Faculty Association about class sizes for Social Sciences and English classes.

Another Memorandum of Understanding with the Pasadena local of the state teachers federation regarding winter holidays is also up for discussion and adoption later in the open session.

Superintendent-President Dr. Rajen Vurdien will present the 2016-2017 Academic Calendar for the Board’s approval at the start of the session.

As is customary, members of the public may request the opportunity to address the Board of Trustees regarding any item on the agenda. Anyone wishing to address the Board is required to complete a Request to Address the Board of Trustees form and give it to the Board Secretary before the start of the meeting.

Individual speakers are limited to three minutes in their comments, and total audience participation is limited to 30 minutes.

Dr. Vurdien will also give the President’s Report before final announcements at the Board meeting.

The PCC Board of Trustees usually meets every first and third Wednesday of the month.
