The Pasadena Police Department requested the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office to release its autopsy report regarding the death of Kendrec McDade. They received it late Wednesday night, May 9th.
The Coroner’s Report documented that McDade sustained seven gunshot wounds. Three of the wounds were fatal due to lacerated arteries, including two to his lower abdomen and one to his upper right arm, back to front. The autopsy showed there were no gunshot wounds to the back report the PPD.
In addition to the Coroner’s Report, the remaining on-going investigations include the U.S. Department of Justice’s Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI); the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office and the County’s Office of Independent Review Group. The Pasadena Police Department’s Internal Affairs and Criminal Divisions are also conducting investigations.
The Pasadena Police Department is currently engaged in a thorough review of the autopsy findings.
