L.A. County health officials announced another slate of businesses can reopen on Friday, including nail salons, bars, tattoo parlors and cosmetology services.
But in Pasadena, a separate health order revision must be issued by the City first before those openings may proceed. Then the affected businesses will be required to implement the protocols and complete a checklist in order to reopen.
City spokesperson Lisa Derderian said Pasadena’s revised order will happen soon, “hopefully Friday.”
“Through this announcement,” Derderian said, “it is anticipated that businesses eligible to reopen will include bars, nightclubs and personal care services with an expanded definition to include establishments that provide skincare and cosmetology services, electrolysis, nail salons, body art/tattoo parlors and piercing shops, and massage therapy (in non-healthcare settings).”
Derderian said businesses are encouraged to check the City’s COVID-19 webpage on Friday for updates to the city health order and guidance. For more information, click here.
