Police investigated gunfire heard by officers and witnesses in a residential neighborhood in Pasadena early Sunday, but ultimately found no victims or suspects, officials said.
Officers were patrolling in the area of Raymond Avenue and Hammond Street when they heard gunshots, “followed by callers reporting the same,” Pasadena police Lt. Pete Hettema said.
As the officers searched the area, they heard four additional gunshots coming from northeast of their position, according to the lieutenant.
A witness told police the shots had come from the 1200 block of Summit Avenue, Hettema said. A lengthy search turned up no victims or suspects, and local hospitals did not report receiving any gunshot victims in connection with the incident.
