Police are on the lookout for a brazen burglar who they say broke into a Pasadena home Wednesday afternoon while a woman was inside and stole jewelry.
The crime unfolded about 6 p.m. in the 1100 block of North Arroyo Boulevard, Pasadena police Lt. Anthony Burgess said.
A woman in her 20s was inside the home when she heard a crashing sound, which was later found to be the result of the burglar smashing his way in through a window or glass door, according to the lieutenant.
Police said the intruder grabbed some jewelry and fled. The value of the stolen baubles was not available.
There was no confrontation between the suspect and victim, and no injuries were reported, he said.
The burglar was initially described only as a man in his 20s or 30s wearing a black face covering, according to Burgess. He was last seen running south along Arroyo Boulevard.
