On Friday the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) announced construction of the bridge barrier upgrade project on the State Route 134 freeway over Arroyo Seco Natural Park in Pasadena will be stopped over the Memorial Day weekend.
“No construction will take place from Friday night, May 26, through Monday night, May 29,” Caltrans District 7 Public Information Officer Allison Colburn said in a statement.
However, after the holiday weekend, from May 30 through the month of June, the following lane and ramp closures may occur:
Overnight on Monday through Thursday beginning at 7 p.m. and ending by 6 a.m. the following morning:
• Eastbound SR 134 on-ramp from San Rafael Avenue
• Westbound SR 134 off-ramp to San Rafael Avenue
• Eastbound SR 134 off-ramp to Orange Grove Boulevard
• Westbound SR 134 on-ramp from Orange Grove Boulevard
• Up to three lanes in each direction of SR 134 between Orange Grove Boulevard and San Rafael Avenue
Overnight on Friday and Saturday beginning at 7 p.m. and ending by 10 a.m. the next morning and on Sunday beginning at 6 p.m. and ending by 6 a.m. Monday:
• Eastbound SR 134 off-ramp to Orange Grove Boulevard
• Westbound SR 134 on-ramp from Orange Grove Boulevard
• Up to three lanes in each direction of SR 134 between Orange Grove Boulevard and San Rafael Avenue
Daytime closures from 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Monday through Friday:
• Eastbound SR 134 on-ramp from San Rafael Avenue
• Westbound SR 134 off-ramp to San Rafael Avenue
Some closures may start later or end sooner than the times listed in these closure windows. No two consecutive ramps will close at the same time.
