Pasadena police are seeking the public’s help in a locating a man who reportedly tried to lure a 12-year-old girl walking home from school into his pickup truck Wednesday afternoon.
The attempted kidnapping on Lake Avenue near Elizabeth Street was reported to Pasadena police at 4:41 p.m. Wednesday, Pasadena police Lt. Vasken Gourdikian told the Pasadena Star-News.
While the child was walking, the suspect pulled up to the curb, opened his vehicle door and told her to get in. The child then ran, Gourdikian told the Star-News.
Police described the suspect as a 5-foot, 10-inch tall Latino man about 40 years old and weighing about 180 pounds. His car was described as an older model gray Chevrolet pickup truck with spots on the hood.
