A ‘Mini Heatwave’ Until Monday, When Rain Could Return

The National Weather Service predicts that warmer and drier than normal conditions will continue through Sunday as a mini heatwave bakes Pasadena in up to 90-degree weather as the week ends.

Close to record daily high temperatures are possible on Saturday. 

However, starting on Monday, the weather is expected to rapidly cool down with ample clouds and increasing chances of rain, according to the NWS.

There will be a multiple-day cooling trend next week with the possibility of light to moderate rain on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The most likely outcome is for periods of light to moderate rain resulting in 0.10-0.50 inches, but there is a 20% chance that the rain could be more robust.

Today: Patchy dense fog before noon. Otherwise, cloudy through mid-morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 83. East northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon.

Tonight: Patchy dense fog after midnight. Otherwise, increasing clouds, with a low around 56. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming northeast after midnight.

Friday: Patchy dense fog before noon. Otherwise, cloudy through mid-morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 84. East wind 5 to 10 mph becoming south southwest in the afternoon.

Friday Night: Clear, with a low around 60. South southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming northeast after midnight.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 90. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming south southwest in the afternoon.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 62.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 85.

Sunday Night: Patchy fog after midnight. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 56.

Monday: Patchy fog before noon. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 70.
