A registered sex offender living in Altadena has been arrested for burglary, stalking and sexual battery as authorities continue to look for additional victims, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Dept. said in a press release today.
The suspect, identified in the release as Ralph Wyatt, 49, allegedly broke into two separate Altadena homes repeatedly. Unique apology notes were left at each scene, which included sexual explicit references and indicated on at least one note that he would return, authorities said.
A partial print was collected by the Los Angeles County Crime Lab at one of the scenes. That print reportedly led Sheriff’s detectives to Wyatt.
A search warrant was obtained and executed on Feb. 3, 2010, at Wyatt’s home. He was taken into custody, the press release says, “and conclusive evidence of his involvement in the crimes was recovered. Suspect Wyatt was booked at Crescenta Valley Station.” Four count of residential burglary, two counts of stalking and one count of sexual battery were filed against Wyatt, according to authorities.
Based on the circumstances of the crimes, it is believed that there maybe additional victims. Anyone with additional information or questions should contact Sergeant Danny Robinson, Altadena Station Detective Bureau (626) 798-1131.
